When Chief Two Beers and Jeffro show up and other stuff

Did not grab my camera in time to capture Chris taking the tire off as Josh was putting it on.
That tube got pinched. Yep.
Girlfriend Cynthia with my new helmet a few months back. Summer is over. Starting to get chilly in NYC.
Mollusk keeps NYC in the water. Or beers in hands, guys.
More Chris G here. Johnny hiding behind a beer.
Jeff and my wife Susan.
No explanation.
Huh?
I hate those cups for lapping valves. Safety wire some hose to tip of valve and twisto.
6'5" 168 lbs of awesome in cowboy boots.

Food at the Brooklyn Bowl is tasty.
This is a few weeks back at the bowl bbq in honor of Andy Kessler. Tim and Undercover John bbq'ing. Tim was throwing all the veggie burgers over the fence.

Been Lagging, I have.

Chris G

Cams were too big for these old cases. Not anymore.

Chris G's Ketchup Monster. Hi Ida.

Engraving and dents, nope, no more.

Grind it out first, then weld.

Had to redo the weld because it was not blending. Can't really tell here, so there.

Josh on way to Brooklyn Invitational. Bill in his Scout following.

Pic of the back room. Think I was sitting on the floor mumbling a conversation with Andy, who was doing the same.

Chris Christensen's

The Autumn Bowl of radness.

I'm 4 hours late and 3 weeks from finishing. But I was on beer so I was ok.

The Brown truck made some deliveries.

Scratch made oil tank. No cap or fittings yet. But it will have to have one. Argon gotten yesterday.

Mounts. Stainless front underneath mount for tank. Still deciding on shaping a little more but rubber mounted as is back mount. Will look stock (ish) but only when tank is off. Who cares when off? Maybe hi-lo switch on front mount. Maybe swing off top bar but there is a nice factory lug I'm using now. I'll listen to old boredoms really loud on coffee.

Blurry picture of draft for passenger pegs. For both bikes. Heavier gauge will be used. Similar to the old spoon style accessory.
New carbs, Used mags, Strong spark. One lucas, other bth. Megacycle cams. Another 750 kit. Blah blah, etc. Still waiting on another box or two for shell bearings and primary chains and other new stuff that seems to be taking the slow train. Like me.

I think this fender and I are separating. After Brad's gas and oil tank, I think this needs to be different.

Garage Time

Chris and Brad came by the shop last evening, two swell guys and both important to the surf scene. Went over some details about the bikes I'm building, ate Roberta's pizza, and drank a lot of beer. But no drinking in public tickets last night. Weird .   Stoked to have met you guys.

Bikini Time

Mud curtains and springs

Fender still needs a little tweaking. Radius correct, few lumps.
Usually seats mounted this low bottom out after half an inch of travel. Fixed that. Sucks that I lost the other spring though. I'm retarded.
Tomorrow....

Frame done. going through other engine, make some gas tanks

JD2 makes an excellent tubing notcher. Tubing benders too.
Ran out of argon. Need to second pass a few welds but rear frame is finished. Foot pegs and brake will mount here.
Three types of clutch plates were here. Basket is crappola.
The engine came with 3 intake and one exhaust valve.  HUH?  Morgo 750 underneath. TR6 head to go with cast filter mount in frame, that can't be seen behind oil tank.
I like the stock oil tank. Maybe use this as a gas tank. But lower it more on frame.

My first girlfriend was Heather Sawatzki when I was 17. I broke up with her after 3 months when summer arrived. What a jerk. These bikes are due May 9th.  OK

Repairing the 62 frame

The frame came with the country bar cut out. Turned down one end, cut the other to 20 °, weld it, ok. The tabs for forward controls are gone now. Next week a hard tail will be welded up.
