Trial (and error) for Daapo

I'm converting this sprung front end to a more conventional girder, while retaining the original look it has. Linkages, bearing, axles, correct trail...fun challenge. And yes, I'll be testing my handiwork before the owner does. Computer is dead, so phone images for the moment.

Delaney sent me this fantastic photo of his father, Doug. We borrowed a 12 pack of bud from him once and he searched his garage for an hour thinking his his wife Lucy took it from him. Del and I were in a pinch and needed beer but we returned the 12'er the next day. Papa Doug was awesome.

Jumped this off the curb and fell day one.

But didn't mind. Did it a second time with success.

New pedal. And man, I haven't ridden much lately.

Another Redo and now it's ALIVE

Original intake manifold extension was not going to seal properly. Didn't even try it.

I switched out the triumph manifold for a 32 mm mikuni one. The new extension now has a lip and an o-ring that fits into the manifold and seals very well.

Heat cycled yesterday. Gonna retorque the head this morning and reset tappets. Had to change the dish on rear wheel, so going to straighten that today. Waiting on rear chain and clutch cable to take a ride.

Without tuning it is starting on 2nd or 3rd kick. It is in the low 40's in the garage too.
